Our history

After joining the firm of a well-known architect in the Lanaudière area in 1975, Pierre-Louis Rivest created with him the firm “Les Architectes RIVEST-DUBEAU”. Following the death of his partner in 1978, he joined with Pierre Jodoin to form “Les Architectes Rivest-Jodoin”.

In order to offer their clients a greater variety of design, planning and construction services, a consulting company was created in 1986, thereby completing the firm of architects.

In 1988, with the opening of a second office in Montréal and the arrival of a junior partner, the consulting firm adopted the name “Le groupe RJB”, while the firm of architects changed its name to “Les Architectes Rivest-Jodoin & Associé”. In 1990, “Le groupe RJB” was renamed, for the last time, “Rivest-Jodoin & Associé (RJA)”.

Since that time, the two firms have worked throughout Québec, primarily in the areas of Montréal, Lanaudière, the Laurentians, the Eastern Townships, the Outaouais and northern Québec. Their main achievements have been institutional, commercial and financial structures for municipal, government and private clients.
